Fuck them and their Holier than thou Judgements!
Every day you see it, you hear it, you feel it.
The constant judgements from others flows in like a wave of holier than thou crap.
Unfortunately, to say just ignore those that feel they have the right to pass judgement over you is not so easy for many in the world to follow.
So, let’s dive a little deeper.
Judgements are things that shall never go away. People will always judge you on whatever they can get their grubby little hands on. Whether it be your appearance, your job, the kind of car you drive, where you live, who you date, what you like, what you don’t like. There will always be judgements to find.
So, answer me this – do those people live your life? Do they walk in your shoes every day? Do they get up every morning and have to conquer the battles that you are facing?
I highly doubt it.
If they don’t live in your shoes, know your struggles and your triumphs, then why do you care if they judge you!
Now, this is easy to say about strangers who give you dirty glances from afar, but not so easy to keep in mind when you are faced with people you know and love – such as family, friends, lovers. That list of people close to you who make you feel judgements up close and personal can be hard to expel from your life.
Yet, there are a few things that you need to remember when facing such people – this is your life! For now, this is the only life that you have – to allow others control over you by passing judgement on you is causing your life to be unbalanced and unfulfilled.
Those that feel they have a right over your life unfortunately can lead to a horrible path and a toxic environment, one that will be incredibly difficult for you to find constant happiness and contentment with.
Having those around you that only pick out your flaws are not the people who believe in you. Those are the people that wish you to fail, because if you fail then their lives don’t seem like such a fucked-up mess.
Surrounding yourself with people who compliment your strengths, who build you up rather than tear you down are greatly needed.
Those that wish to destroy you unfortunately can have no part in your world. To allow them in keeps the path of destruction moving in the opposite direction of what you want for your life.
Throw the toxic out!
Fuck them and their Holier than thou Judgements!
You don’t need that kind of negativity.
You have struggled and conquered obstacles in your life and come out on the other side stronger! This is just another obstacle – a moment in your life to take out the riff raff, to throw out the garbage.
Is it hard? Fuck yes it is!
Is it worth it?
Fuck yes! And do you know why it is so worth it?
Because it’s you! You will always be worth the struggle, the joy – you have always been worth it my friends!
Be strong, be brave and Fuck those that judge you for being you! They hold no place in your world and they hold no power over you!
“I will not go quietly in to this good night.”

Well written! This is something that I can really relate to, as I feel like I was suffering with the effects of judgement a year ago. At the end of the day, those people don’t matter.

Very true indeed, sometimes we rely on others to help us define who we are, and, we allow their opinions of us, to run our lives, especially when we were younger and needed the adults to look after us, and that is, too dangerous, because something as simple as a bad word said to us, can damage us for life…

I loved that last quote; well, I loved the entire post, but that last line still echoes in my mind. I’ve learned that if people want to judge they will and it doesn’t have to have anything to do with you; some people are just nasty.

I could not agree more. Many in this world shall wish you to fail, yet it is your choice in your life if they succeed.

Great post! I find the ‘in your face’ haters and judgementals are easy to walk away from now that I’m older. The ones you have to watch out for are the ones who pretend to be friends. People who hide knives in their smiles. 🔪
